The Fracture Period describes the historical moment when the rate of technological change permanently exceeds the human capacity for cultural and institutional adaptation.

The Fracture Period is different. The pace of change no longer allows for generational adaptation. It happens within years. Within months. Sometimes within weeks.
The Symptoms We Already Recognise
The Fracture Period is not a future event. It is already in progress. We can identify its symptoms:
